Oh dear.   As I am nearing the final part of the editing of my story I have come to the realisation that I have developed a completely different personna from that enthusiastic creator of my NaNoWriMo journey.

I have become a critic, where words which I do not now want to see have suddenly become three dimensional, hitting me cruely and questioning why on earth are they there; insisting I hit that delete button; telling me or rather "showing me" there is a much better way to divulge certain of the events taking place.

I now understand why the prolific advice from fellow authors is to leave a manuscript, then come back to it with a completely different mindset before editing.    This is the balance required in order to create a story.
